East Timor Trading Group employs more than 220 people, of which more than 180 are Timorese nationals and the balance being international staff from 6 countries.
It operates a fully equipped, government-licensed, bonded warehouse and has grown to become one of Timor-Leste’s largest corporate taxpayers. East Timor Trading Group supplies both wholesale and retail markets with an extensive range of international brands, with future growth targeting complementary, non-competing quick service and beverage outlets. The company also has a variety of businesses in the retail and hospitality sector. East Timor Trading Group is governed by Chairman of the Board and Founder, Mr Sakib Awan, who leads a capable and passionate Board of Directors who provide varied experience and insight, along with a deep desire to see Timor-Leste grow and prosper. A Management Committee consisting of 5 highly qualified, experienced and entrepreneurial Executive Managers, is overseen by Chief Executive Officer, Mr Samitha Aluwihare, who runs the daily operations of East Timor Trading Group.
